This page provides information about UNLV's Computer Science program, course expectations, and some of the technologies that we use in lower level courses. It is primarily useful for:

  • Current high school students who may apply to UNLV
  • Students who have taken AP Computer Science and plan on skipping CS 135
  • Students transferring from another college or university who plan on transferring courses and skipping courses such as CS 135 and/or CS 202
  • Current UNLV students who are not CS majors but plan on taking CS courses, either as an elective or because they are required
  • Returning students who are returning to college after a hiatus
  • Current UNLV CS students who are between semesters
