Pine in Linux now connects to your EGR mail account
Just type pine at a command prompt and provide your EGR password.

Here are some methods of reading/sending email.  However, you can ssh to connect
to student.egr.unlv.edu and read your email there too.
You can send/receive email from these machines NOW. Read below and pick what
program best suits you.
 
Forwarding email to your favorite account... How can I forward my Engineering email to someplace else?
Simply create a file in your EGR home directory, the account on student.egr.unlv.edu, named
.forward
In this file, the only line of text must be the new email address to automatically forward to. This goes into effect immediately.

Sending Mail:
The local mailer is called mail. To send a message you must use the complete email address of the recipient. Like this:
prompt# mail recipient@foo.bar.edu < file

   or  try this next one if you want to add a subject line:
prompt# mail -s "hi mom" recipient@foo.bar.edu < file

Receiving Mail:
kmail is a program under the GNOME foot icon on desktop panel --> KDE menus-->Internet or can be called from a shell prompt:
        prompt# kmail

Sending/Receiving Mail:
1. The Outlook on windows will send email.
   You must use the complete email address of the recipient.

2.  Eudora can be set up to send and receive  email. Jus follow the
