ThunderBird Email Client Download/Setup

1. Download Thunderbird from:

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/

Follow the install instructions.

2. To setup Thunderbird, follow the prompts.
Choose to setup an email account. The

screen shots are shown below.

First screen: Enter your name and EGR email address.

Click Next.

Second Screen: Enter the EGR Mail Server information.

Be sure IMAP is selected.

Incoming Server is: mail.egr.unlv.edu

Outgoing Server is also: mail.egr.unlv.edu

Click Next.

Third Screen: Enter your EGR username. Click Next.

Fourth Screen: Name this email account something you

will remember. Click Next.

Fifth Screen: Confirmation Screen, check that you have

the correct settings. Click Finish.

Your Thunderbird Email Client is now set up. Click the

“Get Mail” Icon and enter your EGR password to

download your email from the mail server.
